More shoppers online this Christmas means that businesses should take advantage of the burgeoning ecommerce opportunity

17 Dec 2009

More Australians have taken to shopping from the comfort of their own homes this Christmas, with research indicating that 85% of internet users are now shopping online.

The study conducted by research company Core Data examined the buying behaviour and expected spend of more than 1000 Australian consumers over the Christmas period. The study found that motivating factors for shopping online included the ability to research products before purchase, the ability to do price comparisons online and convenience.

Just over half of respondents said they had spent more than $200 online over the past 12 months, and more than half again saying they complete an online purchase at least once a month.

This research indicates that your business should be taking advantage of the burgeoning ecommerce opportunity. Contact us to learn more about ecommerce solutions and how to achieve a successful online offering.
